Fairly uneventful journey. Got to hotel on Perth at 2.00am, and in bed by 2.30.

Got up late and found cafe for brunch, then got the free bus into the centre (really only a few blocks away) to pick up our hire car. Drove to Barrack Square to check times of boats to Fremantle and had our first Aussie beer of the holiday. Spent the afternoon in King's Park.

Next day we took the cruise from Barrack Jetty to Fremantle. We 'd done this previously, but we wanted to see how much Freo had changed,, and it was a nice relaxing start. We spent the rest of the day looking round Fremantle, and came back on the train.

Friday we drove down to South Lakes and saw Travis, Narelle and Hannah. Declan and Lachlan were at school. We spent until lunchtime there, when Travis left for work. We spent the afternoon pottering north up the Sunset Coast to just beyond Hillary's Harbour.

Spent our last full day pottering round the Swan Valley wineries.
