A quick and uneventful flight from Canberra. Clear skies, so a chance for some reasonable shots through the plane's window. Once again we got the usual Hertz "we haven't got the car you ordered, would you take a Tarago" (a Toyota Previa for UK readers). The joke was on them - we'd tried to hire a Previa when we originally booked as it's easy for Kerine to get in and out, but they claimed they didn't have any available, so we settled for a Kluger, which is cheaper! The apartment we're staying in is really nice. Large bedroom, a kitchen/ lounge/ diner, a laundry room and a bathroom. All in a very quiet area, but with mini-supermarket and cafes and restaurants within a few yards. Still only 5 minutes drive from Kerine. |

Have spent our time pottering around with Kerine and Karen. All went to the Fisherman's basket on Friday night, then we cooked for them in the apartment on Saturday, after driving into the hills for Kerine to choose her birthday presents in Stirling. On Sunday we all went to the Stirling Hotel for Kerine's birthday lunch. |
