An Inukshuk is an Inuit sculpture used for navigational purposes. It appears as an abstract human form with outstretched arms. In recent years, it became a welcoming symbol for the Vancouver Winter Olympics.The Inukshuk at English Bay was created by Alvin Kanak who lives in Canada's northern Nunavut Territory.
