A few shots of our hotel, and the area immediately to the west. We took a short drive along the coast to get our bearings and get used to the hire car (the automatic gearbox took a little while to work out). We failed to stop in the popular tourist spot of Camara de Lobos (where Winston Churchill stayed), and instead had coffee in a tiny local cafe in the hills. Only a few shots of central Funchal, as we didn't have much time there after a day in the gardens.
