As with Yellowstone, we took so many pictures that it's been easier to split this up on a day-by-day basis.

Parts of Boston had changed dramatically since our last visit in 2000. The main change is 'The Big Dig' where elevated roads around the harbourside have been put underground. The area over the tunnels has been turned into a string of parks known collectively as The Rose F Kennedy Greenway (she was JFK's mother).  The whole area is now attractive and enjoyable to walk around.

Boston doesn't have any iconic landmarks (think Sydney Opera House, Golden Gate Bridge, Empire State Building) but it does have a lot of historic interest, carefully preserved amongst the new. It's also very easy to get around the main areas on foot or on the subway.
