Left home 8.30 and got to the airport around 9.45. Long queues at check-in but we’d done it online and so went straight to a baggage drop desk. The cafe area has been rebuilt, but the new restaurant side had no power, so we just had a Costa coffee before going through security. Anne tried to collect someone else’s Mac Powerbook!. |
Flight on time despite long wait on bus outside the terminal. The plane was less than half full. Easy flight, but views spoilt by low cloud. Dick and Pam waiting in lounge.

Drove down the N165 - excellent dual carriageway - then came off to go to Châteaulin. Stopped at Port-Launay on the outskirts and had a picnic on the banks of the Brest to Nantes Canal. Then drove into the centre of Châteaulin and had coffee at a cafe by the river Aulne. |

Headed back east towards Douarnanez, stopping at Cast to look at statues outside the church. Went down to Douarnanez and looked at the view from the port. Drove down eastwards along D765 to Audierne, the westernmost town on the Sizun Peninsula. Then came directly back to Pont Aven. Dick cooked fish for dinner and then we sat talking |
